Another of the most important outputs of our “Social Inclusion of Refugee Youth Throught Social Entrepreneurship” Erasmus+ Project is; “Social Entrepreneurship” was a joint elective course opened at Harran University. Participation in this course, which students from each department can apply in line with their field of interest, was quite intense. In the 2021-2022 Spring semester, when the first course was held, students got acquainted with the field of social entrepreneurship after a short introduction session; In the following days, he gave lectures on the theoretical background of social entrepreneurship. The courses taught in line with the curriculum prepared within the scope of our “Social Inclusion of Refugee Youth Throught Social Entrepreneurship” Erasmus+ Project; It was generally held in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Department of Sociology. It is very important for students who study at the university and have an entrepreneurial spirit to transform their ideas into a social enterprise. In this sense, in this course, which is included in the program of the university in order to support the students who study at Harran University and have entrepreneurial ideas in their minds, examples of social enterprises are also discussed. Social entrepreneurs were invited to the course to introduce their projects that started on the path of social entrepreneurship and grew in a short time.Among the projects whose seeds were planted in Şanlıurfa and grew in a short time; The Knitting For Hope project team, where immigrant and local women produce amigurumi toys together and thus they can participate in employment, shared their difficulties and happiness with the students. However, Zeynep Direkli, a young entrepreneurial woman who produces her own textile products and turned it into a company in a short time, shared her story with the students. Jin Dawod, who set out with the motto “Everyone has the right to psychological support” and developed a website that will provide free psychological support, was among the social entrepreneurs who told his story. In this sense, the stories of social entrepreneurs encouraged students to implement the ideas they had stored in their minds; It created an exciting atmosphere. Finally; It has been announced that the course, which was suspended with the end of the 2021-2022 academic year, will continue from where it left off in the 2022-2023 fall semester.
