Within the scope of “Social Inclusion of Refugee Youth through Social Entrepreneurship” Erasmus+ Youth Project; Turkey National Agency President Mr. İlker ASTARCI, Turkey National Agency Youth Coordinator Mr. Kemal BAŞÇI, Turkey National Agency General Coordinator Mr. Safa YAHŞİ and Şanlıurfa Provincial Migration Management Manager Mr. Fatih IŞIK attended in Şanlıurfa. 8-9 October In the first week of this meeting in Şanlıurfa Technopolis, Hakan GÜLERCE made the opening speech of the day and day:
Hakan GÜLERCE:
“First of all, we are honored to host our President Mr. İlker ASTARCI and his delegation in Şanlıurfa. Our esteemed professors came from Ankara for us, I would like to thank and welcome them all. Şanlıurfa has faced a dense immigrant population since 2011. Forced migration emerges as a phenomenon that has consequences not only for those who migrate, but also for people in the migrated region. A human encounter takes place between the migrating communities and the local people of the receiving country. In this encounter, it was inevitable that social problems would arise with the immigrant crisis after Turkey hosted forced immigrants. The emergence of behavioral patterns such as prejudice, physical and psychological violence, marginalization and hate speech has created a society in which social solidarity is minimized. In this sense, some negative events have also occurred in Şanlıurfa. We, as people living in this city, understood that we could not remain silent about these problems, and we started projects in this way. In our “Social Inclusion of Refugee Youth Throught Social Entrepreneurship” project, we identified the problems in this context; We are trying to find solutions with entrepreneurship and “social entrepreneurship”. In our project, 10 immigrants and 10 local friends are actively involved. Young people are at the center of the projects. We have written projects in which young people are active while we are passive. “

Ilker ASTARCI:
“First of all, I would like to thank our teacher Hakan GÜLERCE. For bringing us together today, for stepping into such projects. When my teacher Hakan made his first invitation, it didn’t seem possible for me to come because of some work. But somehow we wanted to come after we got our work done and we came. When the Syrian issue first started, Tayyip Bey assigned me. In 2010, I had visited Hatay and Gaziantep. There were new migrations at that time. I will never forget that time, there were large-scale meetings. We focused on these needs for shelter, food, drink, clothing and daily cleaning. How lucky are we that in history, my Lord blessed the Syrian brothers to be Ansar and to them as refugees. This is not a crisis. We use the word crisis in government jargon, but we, as human beings, do not see it as a crisis. We are trying to deal with this issue with a “real” detail. Of course, it is a difficult process to manage. Our troubled teachers, like my teacher Hakan, are doing something in the name of Social Entrepreneurship. As Muslims, we need to feel this responsibility inside ourselves. I also loved the Volunteer Entrepreneurship title. Volunteering is very important. It will be very good if you come from within, follow the needs, find the problems and worry. However, volunteering will benefit us. I want to say to my young friends: “Prepare yourself very well for the future. Because you are not a crisis; You will manage power, success. You will talk about how to rule the world. what about me? don’t say. Each of you has a mission in this world”. That way, if young people have a question or something they want to say, I would like to listen.”

Such projects of our teacher Hakan are very important and very beautiful. There is a young and dynamic team. It’s good for me to be here too. Integration is one of the top three topics that Turkey talks about. In that sense, these projects are very nice. It is gratifying to see such enthusiastic young people. They make our job easier with the work they do. I am very happy to be here. Thank you.

Kemal BASCI:
First of all, I would like to start by thanking Hakan GÜLERCE. Each of you will become a pilot. You will tell your friends about these projects. You will do social inclusion. I will not say much about the technical parts of the projects. If there is anything you want to ask, I would like to hear it.”
He expressed his feelings and thoughts with his words; emphasized the importance of asking young people the questions they are curious about.
After the guests expressed their feelings and thoughts; In an interactive way, the participants asked questions and shared their thoughts. Afterwards, the certificate distribution ceremony started; Mr. ASTARCI and Mr. IŞIK presented their certificates to the young people. In the program, which was generally held in this way, a group photo shoot was made, and young people and guests chatted over tea. This is how the first day ended.
On the second day of the program; “Harran Kumbet Houses”, reflecting the historical structure of Şanlıurfa, were visited together with ASTARCI and his delegation. After visiting the “Harran University”, the world’s first University, the dome-shaped Harran houses were also included in the visit list. A musical feast took place here, with the participation of three Syrian musicians, organized by the “We Are All Migrants” project team. With the reflection of the healing and unifying properties of music, a warm atmosphere was experienced and tea/coffee was drunk together. After the Harran trip, a trip was organized to Şanlıurfa and even to Göbeklitepe, which is in a very important position in terms of world history. The temples, which were created due to the existence of the first settlements and beliefs where humanity lived, were visited together with the guests. The day after Göbeklitepe tour; It was closed with the “Sıra Night”, which has an important place in Şanlıurfa’s culture and cultural history. At the end of two full days, ASTARCI and his delegation went to the airport to be sent off, and the program ended in this way.
