On 26 and 27 October, the SIRSE transnational meeting was successfully concluded in Larissa, Greece. The transnational meeting took place in person and online; iED hosted the personally participating partners at its facilities. The meeting took place within the framework of the European initiative “SIRSE: SOCIAL PARTICIPATION OF YOUTH REFUGEES THROUGH SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP”.
SIRSE Initiative
SIRSE is an Erasmus+ project targeting young immigrants aged 25-30; With the general aim of improving the life of this group and developing policies regarding social reintegration. The core of this enterprise is entrepreneurship as a method of facilitation. This is a synergy between 8 organizations from Turkey; Italy; and Greece.
SIRSE Transnational Meeting:
Restrictions due to the pandemic were a major hurdle for the partnership as the project’s second transnational meeting took place after 1.5 years of quarantine. In this mixed meeting, the SIRSE partnership had the opportunity to discuss the implemented activities of the project; delivered outputs; and the completion course of the project. In addition, the partners brainstormed about upcoming project activities. In particular, the content of the meeting includes the following key points:
During the meeting, the partners organized their mandate, along with a timeline for LTTAs currently under preparation in Italy and Greece.
They also discussed about the transnational meetings to be held in Italy and Turkey; and the multiplier Event that will take place in Şanlıurfa in the spring.
Finally, the SIRSE partnership also managed issues related to project management and dissemination.
The iED team was very happy to host the SIRSE transnational meeting and consider the overall outcome fruitful. We look forward to the third transnational meeting in Italy.
